Lakeside tent camping at Pawna Lake starts from ₹999 per person, usually including dinner, BBQ, a bonfire with music and breakfast. Couple tents and cottages cost more, and some camps charge a little more on Friday and Saturday nights. See every camp and its price on the Camp Sites page.
Pawna Lake is near Lonavala in Pune district, Maharashtra — about 55–60 km (1.5–2 hours) from Pune via Kamshet and 110–120 km (2.5–3 hours) from Mumbai via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway, exiting at Lonavala. The nearest railway stations are Lonavala and Kamshet. Transport is not included in the packages.
Most packages include the tent or cottage stay, evening snacks with tea/coffee, BBQ, dinner, a bonfire with music and breakfast the next morning. Exactly what's included is listed on each camp's page. Kayaking (about ₹150/person) and speed boating (about ₹250/person) are available at some camps at extra cost.
Check-in is usually around 2 PM and check-out around 11 AM the next morning, so you get the sunset, the bonfire night and the sunrise. Times can vary by property and are shown on each listing.
Kids up to 5 years stay free and do not need a booking. Kids aged 6 to 10 pay half the adult price at camps.
Yes. Pawna Lake is a popular, family-friendly destination for couples, friends and families from Pune and Mumbai. Many camps offer couple tents and cottages, and every listing shows its rules. Hookah is strictly prohibited at all camps.
Yes. Besides tents there are lakeside cottages, including an AC cottage, and private villas with a swimming pool for families and groups. Villas and resorts can be booked for one or more nights with check-in and check-out dates.
Yes. Groups can book several tents, cottages or a whole villa. A guitar show runs on Saturdays and can be arranged on weekdays for group bookings — message us on WhatsApp to plan it.
October to February is the most popular season, with pleasant days, clear skies for stargazing and cool nights. The monsoon (June to September) turns the hills green, though some activities may be limited. March to May has hot days but pleasant evenings by the lake.
